What made this win even more special is that it was the 40th anniversary of the Daytona 500 and the 50th anniversary of NASCAR all capped off beautifully with superstar The 1998 Daytona 500 went down in history as the first 500 won by the legendary Dale driver Earnhardt's first win on February 15th, 1998. The package consists of one of the original race programs with a beautifully embossed cover. It was only distributed to members of the media so this is not a program a spectator could purchase, you had to have media credentials to receive one. It also consists of the Spring 1998 edition of Daytona Pit Stops magazine, February 1998 edition of Inside NASCAR magazine, MRN Radio's list of 1998 station listings for the race, a 1998 Daytona 500 official vinyl die-cut decal, a 40th Daytona 500 commemorative patch and post card set, and a hologramed photo of Dale's infamous black #3 Chevy Lumina running through Daytona pits from April, 2001, 2 months after he was shockingly killed in the 2001 Daytona 500 exactly 3 years after his 1998 victory. All 8 pieces, including the protective plastic sleeve are in outstanding original condition.
