1970 Volkswagen Dormobile Camper

The legendary VW Camper had numerous configurations and setups in its cycle. Perhaps the rarest was the Dormobile setup that allowed a tilt out pop top camper style that was hinged on the side rather than the back or front. These were very limited production styles and very few ever made it over to the North America market.

Pleased to present this 1970 Volkswagen Dormobile conversion camper that has spent most of its life in California. This bus is setup for camping, road trips, the beach or any fun adventure you are up to. Nicely preserved and operates well while on the roads. Interior is nicely appointed with Baltic Birch wood panels on the roof and floor with unique styled bamboo door panels. The front bench seat can accommodate three people and the rear bench seat and jump seat allows you to fit another 4 comfortable. Pop up dinette table provides room to play cards or have a snack and the electric plug in cooler that is built in can also be removed and used as an additional stool. Plenty of lighting inside and outlets to plug in any device while you are parked and hooked up to power with exterior electrical hookups. The real unique aspect is the pop top that has a total of four window/skylights.

Exterior is clean and presents nicely with an older paint job but clean. The vehicle features news window and door seals. Recent service includes; new CV axle boots, new tires, new brakes, and wheel cylinders. Get in and enjoy as the good times are always ready as long as you are willing to find them.
