1985 Mercedes-Benz 300CD

We are pleased to offer this 1985 Mercedes 300 CD Turbo (Diesel) for consideration. The last year off the infamous W123 platform, these were incredibly popular cars that dominated the luxury market with wait lists surpassing a year in the 1980's. These are referenced as the “go forever” cars. The 3.0 liter inline 5 cylinder diesel that this vehicle possesses is considered by Hagerty to be one of the most reliable engines ever built on any vehicle. Many are still on the road today worldwide. They are popular in Africa as “bush taxis”, covering thousands of miles on subpar terrain with very limited maintenance. Many environmentalists seek these engines due to the ease of running them on vegetable oil and other biodiesel fuels.

This 300 CD was brought to us by a collector who cared and stored his W123's in a heated inside space. The interior & exterior are in excellent condition, and reflect the care taken for this vehicle. It starts and drives exactly how you expect this reliable diesel to do so. This car is an impressive version in 2013 of the legendary series.
