GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1967 Chevrolet Camaro Yenko Clone for purchase. When the 1st generation of Camaro's debuted in 1967 the largest engine was limited to 396ci. Don Yenko, however, knew there was a market for a more powerful Camaro. Yenko ordered L-78 equipped SS Camaro's and swapped in the Corvette's L-72 427ci 7.0L V8. Yenko also installed a fiberglass replacement hood similar to the “stinger” hood featured on 427ci Corvettes. There were only 54 produced in which excellent condition originals draw values close to half a million dollars.
This Yenko Clone is an awesome driver that doesn't disappoint. It's powered by a period correct 427ci 7.0L V8 high performance engine rebuilt from a passenger car (engine codes are verified) paired with a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission. This is a fresh restoration that was completed on 2011 with very few miles on the car since. We have a full folder of receipts that show how no detail was overlooked in the restoration process.
