1947 Studebaker M5 SERIES

Check out this cool classic pick-up! This is a 1947 Studebaker M5 in classic Navajo Tan. Studebaker first entered into the pick-up segment in 1937 but it was post-WWII when they really got serious about pick-ups and produced 23,377 M5's in 1947 to compete with Ford, Chevrolet, Dodge, and International.

This M5 was rescued from its slumber in Nebraska roughly 5 years ago and received a restoration to what you see today. It features its original 169ci straight 6 cylinder engine matted to a 4-speed manual with overdrive. The truck runs and drives very well and although the restoration does not appear to be a full-on professional job, it does present very nicely. You can drive it as is and have a ball or take it to the next level. Pick-ups were pretty sparse vehicles but this one features the deluxe dash with a heater, vented windows, and front vent to allow air flow into the cab.

This truck comes with a box full of extra hard-to-find parts, a spare tire, and a file full of documentation of its past. Chevy and Ford pick-ups are everywhere, with only around 50,000 M5's built between '41 and '48, you're sure to be the only one at the cruise in with a Studebaker pick-up!
