It is finished in Sienna Red Metallic over Tan Berber Cloth with Brown Leatherette trim. The car is said to be a Michigan car since day one and well cared for over the last 31 years by its 2-owners. The first ownership dated 1983-1988 and the second 1988-present. The car features the standard 2.5L inline 4 cylinder producing 143hp mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. It features manual steering, power brakes with 4-wheel discs, power windows, A/C, heat, dual exhaust, and Porsche Cup wheels with newer tires. It came equipped new with the following factory options: U.S. emissions, steering wheel with raised hub, digital AM/FM cassette stereo, body side moldings, cassette holder and coin box, alarm system, and graduated tinted windshield.

The care this example received is apparent by the great condition as well as the service record history, registration in the Porsche Club of America, and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity from 1996. The car has mainly been serviced by Bill Cook Porsche in Farmington Hills, MI and has maintenance receipts dating as far back as 1988. The 944 was slated as a more powerful and better handling alternative to the 924 and in 1984, Car and Driver awarded the car the distinction as the “Best Handling Production Car in America”.
