1996 Chevrolet Corvette

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this 1996 Chevrolet Corvette C4. The C4 was produced from 1984 through 1996 with the last one being produced on June 20, 1996. The fourth generation won a loyal following and was considered one of the most desirable sports cars. This car garnered rave reviews when it first debuted; leading Consumer Guide to state “The first fully redesigned Corvette in 15 years was more sophisticated and more practical than the beloved Shark. And like previous generations, the new C4 only got better in time.” The C4 featured an evolved, sleek and modern look and completely new chassis design.

This 1996 C4 is equipped with an LT1 V8 engine putting out 300 hp and 335 lb of torque, mated to a 4 speed automatic transmission. It is a 5.7 L featuring a 2-valve pushrod design with reverse-flow cooling which allowed lower temperatures with higher compression. The C4 was the first general production Corvette to have a glass hatchback for easier storage access. The dashboard is decorated with a digital liquid display with graphics for speed and other important information. The interior is finished off with beautiful tan leather seats and carpeting. The C4 had its design emphasis placed mainly on handling and features all-independent suspension with light weight wheels and suspension components as well as new brakes with aluminum calipers. The C4 sports a “uniframe” build and allows for a removable glass top allowing for the ability to bring the outside in for a greater driving experience.
