1979 Jeep Wagoneer

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1979 Jeep Wagoneer for purchase. The Jeep Wagoneer was the first luxury 4x4 sold under different names from 1963 to 1991. While Land Rover and International Harvester offered vehicles in similar shape, the luxury of the Wagoneer set it apart offering unheard of features in a 4-wheel drive such as automatic transmission and power steering. Essentially, this was an SUV before anyone coined the term. Overall, the Wagoneers were far ahead of their time and many credit them for the SUV craze of the 1990's. Their classic looks (read Woody!) combined with functionality & durability make well preserved examples highly collectible today.

This '79 Wagoneer is a well preserved example that has gone through a selective restoration to bring this Woody to even better condition. It's powered by the original 360ci V8 engine paired with an automatic transmission. It is the recipient of a repaint in Cumberland Green. Recent work includes several new parts including: gas tank, brake lines, master cylinder, shocks, rotors, calipers, gas lines, water pump, plugs, wires, and transmission pump. The transmission and carburetor were rebuilt. The buyer will also receive the original rims and hub caps as part of the purchase. This is a really rare vehicle and a lot of fun to drive.
