Moving into its second generation in 1966, Buick continued the Riviera nameplate but with a longer, wider and more curvaceous body than the year before. Still holding on to its cruciform frame, keeping the same powertrain and even the same brakes in place, the biggest difference from the first generation was really its design which proved to be a good choice in the eyes of the market as sales began to increase year after year. Still featuring its unique and classic hideaway headlamps, they tweaked the design of those as well with them pivoting up above the grille when not in use. By 1967 GM saw fit to continue to invest in the name and brought fourth their greatest improvement, the 430 cu. In. (7.0L) V8 engine in replacement of what was known as the “nailhead” 425 of previous years. This was a much more powerful engine which pushed out 360 hp, the highest rating amongst any muscle car in production of its time!

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this highly restored but classically kept example of the 1967 Buick Riviera for your consideration. With all the styling you come to love from this era Riviera, this model has much more invested into it than what it costs to own today and with a great deal of originality still intact! Featuring what is believed to be the original 430 V8 engine mated to its true-to-era 3-Speed automatic and what we are told is a rust-free example from the warm parts of Utah, this is as good as it gets! With a complete frame-off restoration completed, this vehicle features a GM code Atomic Orange exterior with fully refurbished stainless steel, re-chromed bumpers and trim including the refurbished pot-metal, some of the cleanest lines we have seen and completely overdone from top to bottom. The entire undercarriage was rebuilt including all new front end parts, the front and rear is lowered 2 inches with Jamco springs and a fresh set of 20x8 inch front wheels and 20x10 inch wheels to really set this one off from the curb. The interior has seen just as much work completed including custom painted door panels to match the car, the upholstery is fully upgraded with a wonderful white leather, the carpet, headliner, trim and dash like new as well and with all the comfort you could hope for! Not enough can be said of this example and is a must-see within our gallery. Call or email us today for more information on this wonderfully recreated Riviera today!
