The Celica was produced from 1970 to 2006 as an affordable sports car that gave you lots of performance and reliability without breaking the bank. The Celica will also be known for showing many American performance seekers that bigger wasn't necessarily better. The 6th generation GT models were powered with a 2.2-liter 5S-FE engine which featured dual overhead camshafts and direct fuel injection. The cars were popular sellers and very popular among street racers leading a popular import racing movement in the mid-90's.
This '96 Celica GT Convertible is in excellent condition originally delivered to Tampa, Florida and has been well-serviced by the same owner since 2000. The car is highly original powered by the 2.2L inline-four cylinder engine and 4-speed automatic transmission. It also features a power convertible top, air conditioning, spoiler, alloy wheels, power disc brakes, power windows, original stereo with CD player, and much more! This car has a rebuilt title as a theft recovery in Chicago in 1999. As stated before, it's been used as a summer toy in Michigan since 2000. Previous title shows salvage history.
