Produced by Fiat for model years 1966-1980 the 124 Spider was sold in both Europe and the USA. But because of fuel regulations for the US market, Fiat decided to cancel production for the European market for the 124.

The body designed and marketed by Pininfarnina with styling by Tom Tjaarda and in 1972 a sports version debuted.

This particular Sport Spider is unique in the fact that the current consignor purchased the car brand new in 1972 at a Fiat dealer in Charlotte NC and then the car went to reside in Virginia for the next 40 years until the couple decided to move north for retirement. The car has never seen a Winter and is very dry and free of rot. The miles are believed to be original, the car runs and drives excellently and the top is in like new condition.
