The Porsche 964 is perhaps Porsche's most innovative model for their famed air-cooled generation of cars. It was a bold departure from the beloved Carrera of the late 80's. Porsche boldly beefed up its performance with a newly designed 3.6 liter air cooled flat six power plant producing 247 hp and the Carrera 2 version delivering 0 to 60 times in 5.5 seconds. The 964 also introduced for the first time coil spring suspension, power steering, and ABS brakes bringing the overall performance of Porsche's new 911 to a whole new level. The new body design consisted of smoother bumpers, more integrated rockers and most notably the recessed rear spoiler that would raise when speeds reached 45 MPH all while preserving the beautiful lines of the car while at rest.
