Sold new in to a guy in Pearland Texas where it remained in his possession till recently being acquired from by us. He estimated that over $80k was invested in the kit and build of this untamed Cobra. This stunning Cobra build came to the original owner as a 289 Deluxe kit with the following items from Unique Motorcars; Posi track upgrade, rear sway bar, adjustable rear coil over shocks, drive shaft safety loop, aluminum oil cooler, foot box heat shields, spiral mufflers, chrome quick jacks upgrade, emergency brake calipers with brake handle and cable, inside mirror, thermos-tec insulation, 12in 6 piston front disc brakes, engine and transmission mounts, and Stewart Warner black faced gauges that include voltage, speedo, gas, oil pressure, oil temperature, engine temperature and RPM. This was the starting point for the customer, now he started his stunning build and added the engine, transmission and many extras.

This beast is powered by a 427cid Ford Racing small block V8 that has logged very few miles and has had the following performed to make it achieve 618HP according to the dyno report attained from the original owner. AFR 225 aluminum heads and billet hydraulic roller cam by Ed Curtis of Flowtech Induction, Manly pushrods, Crane 1.7 roller rocker arms, forged racing pistons, Edlebrock “Super Victor” intake with 4-barrel Holley Carburetor, Pro-Systems “Road Race” carburetor with 890cfm mechanical secondary, MSD ignition setup, Aviad “Road Race” 7 quart oil pan, Mocal oil cooler, SS braided hoses with ANSA fittings and a highly polished and detailed engine compartment. The transmission is the famous TKO600 Tremec heavy duty setup with Lakewood steel safety housing, Hays clutch assembly and hydraulic throw-out bearing, safety steel driveshaft hoop and the ever important Jaguar IRS with limited-slip locker upgrade.

The cockpit was further enhanced with Moto-Lita leather clad steering wheel, Lucas toggle switches, leather seats, period correct aircraft style seatbelts and quick releases, FIA correct 3rd leg of roll bar facing forward alongside of driveshaft tunnel to insure better handling. Some other extras include 17in Vintage wheels with knockoff feature, rack & pinion steering and fully adjustable coil over shocks and Jaguar inboard rear disc brakes. Vehicle is finished in a stunning Porsche Midnight Blue with dual painted white stripes, xenon headlights, wipers, functioning horn and lights, authentic quick fuel fill cap, carpeted floor mats, door map pockets, fire extinguisher, dual sun visors and dual mirrors. Vehicle comes with original bill of sale from Unique Motorcars, original MSO, dyno sheet print off, lots of receipts and records and the wiring harness manual from Unique.
