Henry Ford spent most his first years fighting off the idea of changing the Model T which produced and sold over 15 million models before his son, Edsel, finally convinced him that some new features and comforts were necessary. On May 25th, 1927, Ford announced the shutdown of the plant and production of the Model A and began retooling the entire factory to begin its new and improved version, the Model A. They completed this process in almost 6 months and had cars pumping out quickly which was only possible due to Edsel secretly marshaling the design and sketch team to begin working on the new model prior to Henry ever even approving such a change.

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this Henry Award winning 1930 Ford Model A Roadster. In 2002 this Model was awarded first place at the 2002 national meet that was held in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Judging for this prestigious award is based on a few different qualifications and these come from the organization's website. All Model A's owned by MARC members and registered in the MARC Mileage Program, and which meet the following standards, are eligible.
Of original manufacturer from 1927 through 1931.
Titled or registered as a Model A in accordance with respective state requirements.
Authentic in overall appearance, with a minimum of the following basic features:
(a) Original Ford four-cylinder engine produced from 1927 through 1934.
(b) Body style for the year of manufacturer.
This is one of the finer examples coming in a nearly flawless Black exterior paint, and black vinyl top, with a small but very tasteful red striping that runs down both the passenger and driver's side. The chrome on the bumpers and grille are mirror-like, and the glass is all in like new condition. The interior is also in like new a dark brown vinyl with the always fun rumble seat in a just as good of the state. This one is powered by the popular 201ci inline 4 cylinder engine and 3-speed manual transmission. This Model A really sets itself apart with the finish and restoration that was done by a reputable restoring in Michigan, does not take long to appreciate all the work that has gone into making what it is.
