GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1948 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup for purchase. General Motors' first major redesign post-WWII, the Advance Design series was billed as a bigger, stronger, and sleeker design. During this generation of trucks from 1947-1955, the Chevrolet trucks were #1 in sales. These classic pickups got America back working again, and for many they represent memories of Grandpa's reliable workhorse.
The truck offered here is setup to cruise and is a blast to drive. It is powered by a 454 v8 paired with a Muncie 4 speed manual transmission. The camshaft was upgraded at the time of build. The engine has a Edelbrock aluminum intake and dual 4 barrel Edelbrock carburetors. The brakes were upgraded to Wilwood brakes. The front end was switched to a Mustang 2 front end. The truck is all steel. The truck also has a posi-traction rear end. The exhaust was upgraded to dual exhaust with headers. Other features include power steering, power brakes, power leather seat, JVC CD player, Hoosier rear tires, Grant GT steering wheel, Autometer tachometer, spray in bedliner and more. This truck was built well remains in great condition.
