1931 Ford Model A Huckster

Although resembling the Model T a little, the all-new Model A was much different. It incorporated a sliding gear transmission, which was a first for Ford. It also included fours wheel brakes, a larger engine that doubled the T's horsepower and adopted pumped-water cooling.

Ford offered a large variety of the Model A's and they were also starting to introduce light commercial vehicles, which included closed cab pickups, panel delivery trucks, both standard and deluxe, town car delivery trucks

The 1931 Ford Model A Huckster offered here for sale is dressed in Washington Blue and shows very well. The chrome polishes to a shine and shows very well. It has been in a private collection for the last 20 years where it was loved and well taken care of. It features a flathead 4 cylinder engine with a 2 speed transmission overdrive. The car has been converted to 12 volt system. The car was highly restored, right on down to every last grease zerk and cotter pin. It rides on 19 inch cream colored wire wheels with Firestone tires. The car also features an operational “ooga” horn, aftermarket turn signals, seat belts, dual cowl lamps and one fender mounted spare wheel. The huckster also has a bench seat in the back and vinyl sides that can enclose the back end of the truck or roll up out of the way.
