1980 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28

The second generation Chevrolet Camaro was introduced in 1970 and was longer, lower, and wider that the earlier car and was described as much more of a driver's car as well. The car featured an all new frame and suspension and was a much better handling car than before. Some of the engines were carried over from the earlier cars. One popular option was the $572 Z-28 Special Performance Package which brought a number of styling cues as well as a new high-performance LT-1 350cid V8 engine and and a Turbo-hydramatic 3-speed automatic transmission.

Finished in a very 1980s shade of Bronze with matching tri-tone stripes and gold metallic wheels, this Camaro definitely stands out. The exterior is in wonderful shape and has excellent paint and a straight body all the way around. The trim is in excellent shape and everything appears to be as it left the factory. The exterior is bolstered by and Air Induction hood, fender vents, dual exhausts, dual mirrors, Radial T/A tires, rear spoiler and front air dam. There is also a tilting sunroof with a golden eagle decal. Under the hood is exceptionally clean and the 350cid is a strong performer and sounds excellent as well. The gold colored interior is in fantastic shape, with a good headliner, crack free dashboard, nice cloth seats, excellent Z28 padded door cards, original steering wheel, and an original factory radio that still works. The interior also features A/C, power windows, power locks, Bosch gauge pack, and a B&M shifter. The interior is a comfortable place to be and is not far off from factory fresh.

Coming out of Montana, this excellent Camaro is a rare and underappreciated piece of American performance history. It is an excellent runner and would make both a great driver and a great collectors piece!
