1951 Ford F1

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1951 Ford F1 Pickup for purchase. Launched in 1948, the legendary Ford F-series began as a replacement for the previous car based pickups. For the first time, Ford was building pickups on a dedicated truck platform creating a much better work horse than previously available. Classic trucks are gaining momentum in the collector auto markets. Ford's 1st F-series generation lasted from the 1948-1952 model years, but significantly changed in appearance from year to year making each version unique and pretty rare. While trucks sold well, most were obviously used for heavy work -loads leaving few surviving examples in excellent condition.

The flathead v8 fires right up and runs very well. The truck has been updated to 12 volts. Highlights include, dual horns under the hood, dual chrome mirrors, door speakers, aftermarket turn signals, Pioneer CD player, painted chassis, wood bed inserts, 15 inch chrome wheels. The truck is all steel. The interior is new and the dome light even works. The chrome bumpers and chrome trim and bright work all show well. The burgundy and silver paint job remain in excellent shape as well. We took this for a test drive and were very pleased with the results as it run strong and held the road well. Classic trucks are hot and this one is priced to move!
