1957 International A-100

For 1957 as the truck market was trying to break in to the family market and not just commercial sales, Chevrolet had the Cameo, Dodge had the Sweptline and for Internationals 50th Anniversary, they came out with the A-100 and Golden jubilee editions. There were very few of these truck manufactured and fewer of them obviously survived. They were powered by the 220 Cubic inche Straight 6 Cylinder mated to a column shift manual transmission. This particular truck that has just undergone a re-paint and body on restoration has its original build sheet. It was sold new in Oklahoma and went South West from there. Most of these trucks were the Step side versions but this new flush sided bed was called the “Bonus Load” which was an option for the first time. There were very few color options for these trucks, in fact this truck started life as pink. This cool oddity starts great and goes down the road as you would imagine for a 71 year old utility vehicle. We have personally never seen one in person and we think it would make a great addition to any collection. Sometime throughout the years the rear bumper disappeared and that is the one thing the owner was unable to locate.
