1989 Mercedes-Benz 560SL

The Mercedes-Benz SL series started out as the top of the line sports luxury tourer that offered both performance and comfort. The third generation SL was called the R107 chassis and is one of the most recognizable Mercedes of all time. Produced from 1971 all the way to 1989, the R107 lived a long and cherished life. The United States was an extremely popular market for the personal luxury coupe and almost ⅔ of all SL's were sold here. While not as quick or pretty as their European cousins, the US market SL's still represented the cream of the personal luxury car crop. The most desirable of the US versions were the late model 560SL that had a host of modern features as well as the largest M117 5.5L V8 that Mercedes offered!

Everything about it is in tip top shape, from the smooth gloss in the factory Pearl Gray Poly to the clean engine bay. The exterior is in nearly flawless condition which is very impressive for its age. The paint is even, smooth, and glossy, and the plastic and rubber trim is very good, with no fading or discoloration. Chrome trim is also shiny and free of marks. The factory hardtop is in similar condition and the windows have a nice slight tint. The 15in “gullideckel” factory wheels are in great shape and have Dunlop tires on them. The interior is finished in a classy Navy Blue and is in great shape as well. Leather seats are crack free and have a little wear on the side bolsters. Dashboard and center armrest are crack free, a common problem. The instrument cluster is immaculate and all dials appear to be working correctly. Wood trim is in good shape. Climate control, power windows, power locks, updated Clarion cassette player are just some of the features of this full luxury Benz.

You will marvel at the condition of this one owner car that spent a good portion of its life in Florida. Tons of service have been performed on this vehicle and it has a clean carfax and comes with a whole host of receipts. You will be hard pressed to find another car in this condition.
