2001 BMW M5

When BMW released its new model to be known as the M5 in 1984 in Frankfurt, it took the world by storm. Designed to be a high-performance variant of their executive car line, the first models were built by hand and available for in 1985. The new M5 was based off of the 535i but with a fully modified M1 engine and suspension which made this the fastest sedan in the world at that time. In 1998 the E39 M5 was introduced and had many benefits added to the newer generation including increased horsepower. This generation also had a significant increase in production numbers as well and unlike its predecessors, was produced at the Dingolfing factory in Germany.
