1971 Toyota FJ 40

While many FJ-40s are powered by their original inline-6 motor which is known for ease of maintenance and reliability, some have the desire for more power. Fortunately for those in search of more horses under the hood, someone decided to swap out the original Toyota motor for a small block 350ci V8 Chevrolet motor with plenty of Edelbrock upgrades. It has Edelbrock valve covers, carburetor, and intake manifold. The cooling system also was upgraded that includes an aluminum radiator. Mated to the healthy motor is an automatic transmission with B&M floor mounted shifter.

This FJ is painted in Desert Sand which when complemented by the black wheels wrapped in new Hankook Dynapro A/T tires makes for an aggressive off road appearance. The interior recently underwent a restoration that included new dash gauges. Other highlights include Bluetooth radio, seat belts, and removable bikini top.

Though relatively sparse on creature comforts, the FJ40 nonetheless captured the attention of buyers across the world due to its reliability, sturdiness, and off-roading ability. Toyota's FJ40 has long been a must-have for any 4X4 enthusiast and has recently fallen into favor with auto enthusiasts and collectors around the globe.
