The Ford Galaxie was one of the most popular full size automobiles of its time and came in a variety of trims, body styles and engine options. There were sedans, coupes, hardtops, and a “sunliner” convertible. The sunliner was based on the uplevel 500 trimline that offered more luxury and stylish features versus the normal models. In 1962, the Galaxie line was updated with different body panels and a whole new look built around its round rear “afterburner” taillights.
