1967 Volkswagen Beetle

Who needs an introduction to VW's? No one, I suspect since they are probably the most recognized automobile ever built. Producing a staggering 21,529,464 units from its inception in 1938 through end of production in Mexico in 2003. The “Peoples” car as Hitler intended it to be is exactly what it ended up being, meaning that If you are in the collector car realm or not, you cant hardly talk to anyone that does not have a beetle story. Even large collectors of very expensive cars have a token Beetle in their collection. These 1967's also have some special qualities as there is a lot of one-year only parts including badging, trim, knobs etc… It would also be the last year for the sloping headlamps but would have some newer mechanics. This particular stunner is better in person both cosmetically and drivability. The new:

-Purchased from VW of America employee originally a North Carolina and Virginia vehicle

-ALL Original Metal: pans, fenders, etc. NEVER hit, welded on or dented!

-3 inch narrowed German beam, done by Ron Loomis of RLR Racing out of California

-Drop Spindles provide no bump steer and stock steering geometry

-Converted to short axle

-BRM Aluminum replica wheels

-1967 was a crossover year with one year only parts - ALL PARTS are there!! Decklid, dash knobs, air cleaner, seat belts, rear bumper, towel bars and window cranks)

-12 volt conversion

-New upholstery and headliner

-Still some original paint on inner fenders, rest of paint 10-15 years old.

I have personally owned many VW's and let me tell you this one is better in every way. Starts on a dime, idles perfectly, does not leak, smoke or smell, shifts and steers very tight. Extremely well set up.
