1983 Mercedes-Benz 500 SL

This is a really nice Euro 500 SL finished in black over tan that has spent the last nearly fifteen years in proper ownership with excellent care and climate controlled winter storage, a Northern MI cottage car. The paint appears to be all original with what is to be expected very minor cosmetic issues, the biggest being just above the fuel door that measures about a ½ “ scratch that has been touched up. The soft top appears to be original and in good condition as does the factory hardtop. The interior has some fading as you would expect but no rips or tears and is also all original. This Benz looks as though it entered the country in 2003 and my consignor has owned it since 2010 with the same local shop looking after it. We do have service receipts from 2010 as well as the original owners manual, top tool, two keys, original floor mats as well as a nice car cover. The underside shows well with nothing leaking. The car starts right up with no smoke, idles perfectly and goes down the road quite enjoyably. The SL class by Mercedes Benz has always been what encapsulates class and the 107 series was no different with nearly a twenty year run! The 500 SL of the 107 was never sold new here in the US, which makes it pretty rare. This is a get in and go, ready to be enjoyed SL that will make someone very happy.
