1998 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am WS6

The Pontiac Firebird was first introduced in 1967 and continued through 2002. The Trans-Am shared the platform with the Chevrolet Camaro and they were soon instant hits with the consumer.
Through the years, the Trans-Am cars were powered by various four-cylinder, six-cylinder and V8 engines.
The fourth generation cars were built from 1993 through the discontinuation in 2002. This generation of the F-body continued the aerodynamic formula initiated by the previous generation. The Camaro kept the exposed headlights and the Firebird its pop-up units, with some minor changes.
In 1998 the car received a face lift dominated by a new front fascia that now had four pop-up headlights vs. the two from before. It also had some other minor body changes. The most significant change was the introduction of the latest Corvette small block V8 engine, the LS1 which produced 305 HP. To help with sales, GM offered a variety of high performance packages in these last years of production.
The car offered here is a one-owner car from new only covering 13,339 miles. The Pontiac is equipped with the LS1 and the special WS6 ram air package producing 320 HP. It is an automatic transmission with factory T-Tops. Most of these cars were purchased as daily drivers so the ones that have been extremely well cared for with no alterations and low miles are going to be harder and harder to find as time goes on. These will no doubt be the next generation of muscle cars and the collectability and prices will continue to increase.
