1994 Porsche 911 Speedster

From the beginning, the spirit of Porsche has been exemplified by the light-weight roadster. From the mid-engine prototype to the aluminum-bodied coach-built American Roadster and finally, the production-based 356 Speedster, these were designed for competition, not comfort. As the concept evolved to the 911 in the 80's and 90's, much of the Spartan nature of the early cars was lost, but the Speedster mystique was still present with the diminutive windscreen and “emergency top”.

The 1994 Porsche 911 Type 964 Speedster offered here is one on only 427 units built for North American distribution and believed to be one of only 4 units painted in “Speed Yellow”. This 3 owner car was sold new our of Prestige Imports of Lakewood, Colorado and has been enthusiast driven only 44, 527 miles since new. Although options for these cars were sparse, this speedster does come with optional air conditioning and factory radio. The black leather interior is tastefully accented with yellow piping, seatbelts, door pulls, instrument backing and shift boot. The paint and body remain in outstanding condition with all body vin stickers in place on all panels and option tag present under bonnet. The original 17 inch cup wheels are excellent and outfitted with new Michelin Pilot Sports. Mechanically the car is outstanding as we just drove the car 500 miles to and from Porsche Club of America's annual Porsche Parade in Traverse City, MI where it place 4th in class at the concours. The car has been fully serviced. It is no secret that the Porsche 911 is one of most sought after car by collectors and enthusiasts, and limited production models such as the 964 speedster are proven investments.
