By the late 60's, both Volkswagen and Porsche were designing new models: Porsche was looking for the replacement to the entry level 912 and VW wanted a wider variety to offer their customers.

Although the engine offered in this car is a 1.8 L engine, it did receive quite a few enhancements from the previous owner. The engine was bored to 2.0 specs with fresh pistons and jugs. In addition the car received a new Eibach suspension and newer brakes. Also equipped is a roll cage built into the car with break-away door bars for easy entry while not on the track. Also added for safety are 4-point harnesses for driver and passenger. It also comes with a separate targa top that can be screwed in to the roll cage to pass track inspections.

A few extras that the car will come with is a separate tire and wheel combo for the track as well as extra gaskets, gauges, tech books etc….

This vehicle is located at our Traverse City facility.
