The Porsche 916 was planned for the 1972 model year, but was cancelled before it ever hit production despite eleven prototypes. They were going to feature the 2.4 engine from the 911S or the 2.7 from the Carrera. Soon kits became available from automotive performance shops to create what could have been.

This 914 is powered by a Chevy 283ci V8 .030 bored with new pistons that was professionally built in 2000 with only around 7,000 miles on it since the build. The car was also repainted in Jaguar's British Racing Green. This car features 305 HO cylinder heads, Mallory Unilite distributor, Pete Jackson Noisy cam gear drive, DTM stainless steel mufflers, quadrajet intake, Edelbrock 1406 600 cfm electric choke carburetor, Porsche 915 4-speed manual transmission, upgraded 9” clutch, aluminum radiator, dual electric fans, Hi-torque starter, VDO gauges, 911 front suspension, VW Bus HD axles adapters, and Bilstein struts. There are a lot more cool parts and additions to this beast. This Porsche is very unique, really well done, and a lot of fun to drive. We hold a book of receipts and details on the build.
