1970 Chevrolet Corvette

GR Auto Gallery is proud to present this gorgeous 1970 Corvette Stingray roadster. This is a numbers matching car that has had some restoration completed with just over 7,000 miles on the odometer since. It is by no means a trailer queen but it is an outstanding show worthy driver. There were 17,316 Corvettes built in 1970 and of these, only 6,648 (38% of production) were roadsters. This Corvette is the 12,101st manufactured and came out of the St. Louis, Missouri plant. This car was originally 982 code Donnybrooke Green, which was only available in 1970. Even though it is currently not in its original color, the period correct Daytona Yellow shows very well and it does sport its original 414 code brown vinyl interior. It is one of 4,910 (28% of production) equipped with the optional L46 350ci 350hp V8 and M21 Muncie close ratio 4-speed transmission. This Vette has some rare and valuable options such as power steering, power brakes, and AM/FM radio.

It also sports the legendary 15x8 rally wheels, dual exhaust, finned valve covers, and chrome air cleaner under the hood. There is also a long list of documentation showing a complete engine rebuild by Tracy Performance in Roseville, MI for $8,000, a new top for $1,800, and regular service and maintenance totaling over $4,000. Additionally, it has the original and rare 1970 owner's manual that came with the car new. This is a very well-kept driver that is in very good condition and runs very well for a 44 year old Stingray that will keep the smiles coming down the road!
