Porsche as usual has redefined the sports car market with the introduction of the all new Carrera 4 edition in 1989. Porsche borrowed the super car 959 components to allow the new Carrera 4 to be one of the first large production all-wheel drive vehicle, or as Porsche likes to refer to it as Push & Pull system. With an all-wheel drive system that was always on demand and would never allow the driver to get to sideways on the road or gravel. Porsche designed this new 964 body to appeal to the masses rather than just the purist with refined creature comforts and improved climate control system
Delivered new to Mr. & Mrs. Ted Dodge in McCall Idaho out of Treasure Valley Porsche/Audi/VW in Boise, Idaho on December 28th of 1989. Mr. & Mrs. Dodge preceded to own this stunning vehicle until recently acquired by us. Vehicle as stated comes with a large binder full of info from the day the car was released, to personal correspondence from the delivering dealer and Porsche North America. Further documentation includes the original bill of sale, original MSRP, factory order guide, Porsche marketing reference guide and brochures and dealer folder. Documentation is remarkable and a perfect example of what a one owner car should have as well as how much love and preparation was put into the anticipation of this new delivery.
Factory options are impressive and the original MSRP was priced at a remarkable $74,139. Special order Stone Grey Metallic paint that is complimented extremely well with the special order slate grey leather with deviating color. Those two options alone were over $3,000! Further features include the Model designation delete on rear, which removed the Carrera 4 script from rear deck lid. Reno Radio, cruise control, and upgraded amplifier completed the order on this remarkable car.
Recent service was just completed by us that includes the following; full valve adjustment, all new spark plugs, new air filter, new drive belts, rear cam seals for power steering, replaced feeder hose to oil filter, new rear shocks, new lower rubber oil tank hoses, new front and rear hood struts and fresh oil and filter change. This vehicle has service stamps from day one done at the delivering dealer all the way through 2011 when it was put away for a couple of years of storage. Stamps show routine service as well as the 15k, 30k, and 60k mile service. Car runs strong and easily goes into all forward gears and reverse. Brakes are strong and very responsive along with a clutch that works as new. No trouble lights are on and all gauges work and function properly.
This car is not your typical Porsche and should be highly considered for any person that wants a clean, well-cared for and one with a substantial list of documentation. Vehicle comes with all books, keys, service stamps, and clean title. You can buy a car or you can purchase an investment, this is the one for the person that has searched and searched but hasn't found the right one.
