The Porsche 964 is perhaps Porsche's most innovative model for their famed air-cooled generation of cars. It was a bold departure from the beloved Carrera of the late 80's. Porsche boldly beefed up its performance with a newly designed 3.6 liter air cooled flat six power plant producing 247 hp and the Carrera 2 version delivering 0 to 60 times in 5.5 seconds. The 964 also introduced for the first time coil spring suspension, power steering, and ABS brakes bringing the overall performance of Porsche's new 911 to a whole new level. The new body design consisted of smoother bumpers, more integrated rockers and most notably the recessed rear spoiler that would raise when speeds reached 45 MPH all while preserving the beautiful lines of the car while at rest.

The previously enjoyed example offered here is finished in classic Schwarz black over a tidy tan interior. The vehicle has been driven and routinely serviced for 102 951 miles since being sold new at Jim Ellis Porsche in Atlanta, GA. The car features a very healthy 3.6 liter inline 6 engine, the rock solid G50 5-speed gear box, 17 inch cup wheels, upgraded stereo and automatic speed control. The car fax is clean, it shows consistent service and owner history. The car is fully documented with both option tags, original books, original Porsche roadside assistance cards, and good recent service records. New Michelin Pilot Sport Tires were put on in May 2012 and have just 2000 miles on them. Today, the car presents itself, although not perfect, but in very nice cosmetic condition as well as a car that is mechanically fit and ready for immediate Targa touring enjoyment.

Air cooled Porsche 911's continue to have global demand and are increasing in value. As such, nice driving examples as the 964 present here, have become popular places for auto enthusiasts and to park their money and have a little fun. There is blue sky beyond the asking price here.
