However, Pontiac kept producing the Firebird Trans-am at the brink of what was allowed (with perhaps some fudging of some horsepower numbers). Of course, Smokey and the Bandit made the late 70's models highly desired iconic pieces of cultural automotive history that are incredibly easy to recognize.
This 1978 Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am is a 2-owner very nice survivor with an awesome color combination featuring bright Martinique Blue factory color paint. It's powered by the original 400ci V8 paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission. This is a great driver in highly original condition with the same owner taking care of it for the last 34 years and only driving it in the summer. It features power steering, power assisted front disc brakes, Saf-T track differential, front & rear stabilizer bars, rally gauges with tachometer, and Shaker hood.
