1971 Buick Gran Sport

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1971 Buick Gran Sport sports coupe for purchase. With GM's introduction of the Pontiac GTO trim package, the GS (Gran Sport) was Buick's way to introduce muscle in to their established branding. The GS was based on a Skylark Custom and available with a 350ci V8 with a 4 barrel carburetor producing 260 horsepower. The Buick brand offered muscle you would find in other GM A-body offerings, but with more class that Buick was known for. The sales of the GS models were not very high, but collectors and critics of classics count the GS as one of the best muscle cars GM ever produced.

This is a '71 Gran Sport in great condition sporting the Cortez Gold paint color with a tan interior. It's powered by the original 350ci V8 paired with a console shift automatic transmission. It was repainted in 2004 and received recent engine work including new wires & plugs, electronic ignition, Hooker super competition headers, 3” FloMaster exhaust, B & M shift kit, mild crane cam shaft & lifters, and 3:73 rear end gears.
