Up for purchase is this beautiful 1988 Mercedes-Benz 560SL Roadster. It is finished in a very pleasing tan over brown MB-Tex interior and comes complete with the color matching hardtop with the holding rack. At the end of the run of the legendary R107 series, Mercedes sent their most powerful and loaded SL yet to the U.S. The engine improved in speed, torque, and horsepower and it received a new rear suspension and a limited-slip differential to better handle the added torque and power. Mercedes also added anti-lock brakes, leather upholstery, and an alarm system. Today, many enthusiasts gravitate towards the 560SL as it retains some of the original lines of the pagoda SL's while carrying with it all of the R107's advances.
The car has been well maintained with a recent engine rebuild for more than $6,500 as well as having regular maintenance performed. Don't be alarmed by the mileage as these 5.6L V8's are known for their reliability and longevity and with a recent full rebuild, it's set to go another 143k miles! 560SL's are one of the most sought after Mercedes models on the market right now, invest in some vintage Mercedes top down fun without spending a small fortune.
