1987 Cadillac Cimarron

In the mid-1970s, General Motors envisioned a common front-wheel-drive compact car platform that could be used in all of its divisions, including Cadillac. This concept came to be known as the J-car, with models initially shared by Chevrolet (the Cavalier), Pontiac (the J2000), Oldsmobile (the Firenza) and Buick (the Skyhawk). By early 1981 they had gone forward with the plans and the Cimarron was created and continued production into the late 80's. They came equipped with either a 1.8L I-4 Engine or, later released in 1985, the more desirable 2.8L V6 which ended as a standard engine in the last years of the Cimarron starting in 1987. When paired with the 3-speed Turbo-Hydramatic Transmission, this vehicle was finally to its peak of performance.
This 1987 Cadillac Cimarron is one of the finest examples of this model and was assembled in Wisconsin to be later shipped and sold from Saratoga Springs, NY. A wonderfully kept example with many service records, receipts, original window sticker, owner's manual and even some of the letters and offers from the original selling dealership has been kept with this since its first owners! This vehicle was ordered with all of the extras including upgraded aluminum alloy wheels, a luggage rack on the deck lid, power 8-way driver seat and premium Dark Blue leather interior matched with its clean Glacier Blue exterior. This is an excellent running vehicle with all the life left in it for its next proud owners and comes with both original sets of its unique 23-karet “Gold Keys”. I cannot say enough about how immaculate this vehicle really is and is a wonderful opportunity for anyone who appreciates a vehicle that was more than well kept!
