1948 Dodge Sedan

Civilian production at Dodge was restarted by late 1945, just in time for the 1946 model year. The market was very strong which was brought on by the lack of any new cars throughout the war which made the sales for the automakers easier regardless of any drawbacks they might have. Like almost every other automaker, Dodge sold slightly adjusted revisions of its 1942 design through the 1948 season. As before, these were a single series of six-cylinder models with two trim levels (basic Deluxe or plusher Custom).

This particular find was owned by the previous owner for 35 years and was mapped for a restoration but never got to it. This Dodge, believed to be a 1948, has most ornaments and trim remaining but little floor left due to rust. It comes with headlights, tail lamps, front hood badging and ornament, some side trim remaining except for the trim near the side-step. It has the butterfly-style hood and the suicide doors with handles and key holes remaining on all doors. There is little left of the interior seating but the dash comes with all the pieces remaining, both visors remain, glass is still there but not all intact and front seat frame with adjustment lever are in place. This vehicle has not been parted out retaining many near impossible to find pieces. This 1948 Dodge is value for those looking to do a full restoration or one that is looking for many of the pieces to put on theirs that has already been started!
