1995 Pontiac Firehawk

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1995 Pontiac SLP Firehawk Convertible for purchase. Encouraged by vigorous demand for the 500 units produced in 1994, SLP Engineering (Street Legal Performance) doubled down with 1,000 units produced for 1995. Effectively the Firehawk was a $6,495 option on any Firebird Formula V8. 17” wheels, an upgraded suspension, and a functional “forced-air” induction hood highlight the features of a car that was ahead of its time. Motor Trend's testing had the SLP Firehawk identical with the Chevy Corvette despite being a cool $10,000 less on the sticker.

This SLP Firehawk was delivered new in June of 1995 in Kinston, NC and stayed south until being purchased in 2007. This low mileage example was then brought to Michigan and driven in good weather only and stored in the winter. It's powered by the original 5.7L V8 engine paired with the original 6-speed manual transmission featuring the Hurst short-throw shifter. It also features a power convertible top, power windows, power disk brakes, air conditioning, Kook's stainless headers, high flow catalytic converters, and power leather seats.
