Although the new design of the MGA which took the place of the TD-body cars dates back to 1951, it was not produced until 1956 and lasted until 1962. These were a complete styling change from the cars of the past.
A brand new chassis also had to be designed to accommodate the lower sportier body. It was a body-on-frame design and used the Straight-4 engine from the Saloon. It was available with either wire-spoke or steel-disc road wheels and was offered in a fixed head coupe or roadster from 1957 on.
This fantastic driver quality car we are offering here today has been in very long-term family ownership and was restored back in the 1980's. The paint is still very presentable with a few blemishes here and there. This car is mechanically sound and is ready to be driven and enjoyed. The soft-top is in great condition as is the interior. All gauges and lights work as they should.
