1996 Porsche 911 993 Targa

In 1996 Porsche introduced is completely redesigned Targa for the 911 / 993 model. Gone was the removable roof that proved to be a bit cumbersome and storage was always an issue, and gone was the large B-pillar that gave the 911 Targa a different and to many, not a flattering look as compared to the undisturbed, smooth lines of its Coupe counter-part. The Targa version of the 993 saw the debut of a retractable glass roof, a design that would carry forward in the 911 line.
