1967 Dodge Dart

Built from 1960 through 1976 the Dart name was originally used by a the Italian coachbuilder Ghia. The Dart was introduced as a lower-priced full-sized car in 1960 but then quickly became a mid-sized car and then finally a compact from 1963-1976.

By 1967 brought the 4th generation and quite arguably the cleanest and sharpest design yet. They received revised steering, a complete face-lift, a wider stance and the ability to accept a wider range of engine options including big blocks with the redesigned K-member up front. Curved glass was also used for the first time ever in a Chrysler compact that created a unique appearance at the rear of the Dart.

This particular car that has had just two owners from new and comes from North Carolina has been owned by its second owner for 20 years and is responsible for the upgrades. A few of the highlights is that this then 6-cylinder Dart now sports a later model 318 Cubic inch V8 and a 4-speed transmission with a 4th gear overdrive offering tremendous fuel economy with plenty of get up and go.

8.25 rear axle all rebuilt with 3.91 gears with a open differential, factory power disc brakes, factory power steering and dual exhaust are the other upgrades. Everything mechanical has been gone through over the years and is a perfect driver. A JVC stereo system with remote control, 6-disc CD changer and Majestic AMP will keep you happy as well.

There are two things that are not working on the car and that is the horn and the back-up lights. Other than that this car starts perfectly and goes down the road flawlessly.
