After breaking off from the Jewett name, Paige went on to almost fully recreate themselves for the 1927 model year. Although a couple models were nearly identical to the model year before, Paige also introduced three new models to their 6-65 series growing their total to 14 models and made many adjustments to the others. With most of the models coming with a two-tone paint scheme to the body as well as standard disc wheels, commonly found items like bumpers and spare tires were not standard. With everything from roadsters to limousines, Paige had made themselves a name and even became famous in the then-popular hill climbing races that took place all over the world. Facing the likes of Ford, Chrysler, Bugatti and more, Paige was never known for speed but had all the capability and reliability to be a true contender against names that stand tall in even todays market.

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this highly authentic and well recreated example of the 1927 Paige Roadster Hill Climber for your consideration. From top to bottom, this vehicle has been fully rebuilt and made into the sharp and sophisticated machine you see today featuring what appears to be an original rebuilt engine, smooth shifting 3-speed manual and all the class and prestige you could ask for! The outside was given a laundry list of badges, some very authentic to the car as the story tells that this was even used as an entry into the Great American Race in 1994 where they took these vehicles from Huntington Beach, CA to Wilkes-Barre, PA! The vehicle was built to drive and with its comfortable and plush saddle leather interior, custom and well-completed wood dash and steering wheel like new, the gauges all appear to be in working order and gives its driver a real nostalgic feel from behind the wheel. There is a toolbox held down by a leather strap to the side of the vehicle as they would do back in the day for races so that the mechanic that was riding along could use them when needed during a race but don't expect to need these yourself, this vehicle not only starts up well but drives out better than they did when first built. Between the history, the unique name and rarity and the overall drivability of this ride, this is sure to be a real thrill for its next owner! Call or email us today for more information on this little piece of history.
