1938 Dodge 1/2-Ton Pickup

The economy was sucking wind and vehicle sales were very pathetic in the mid 30's as the general public was using any and all means to keep food on the table and a spot to sleep for their families. Dodge survived and hit the market hard in 1936 with a redesigned and more driver friendly pickup truck for the masses. Stronger, faster, and safer the new ½ ton pickup was selling well and each year Dodge did its best to add a few new items to set itself from the pack.

This extremely well cared for vehicle and fully restored pickup is a show stopper at all angles and one that deserves strong consideration. Recent owner has cared for the car for the past 9 years with very few miles being logged and usually transported enclosed to local car events. The car represents originality in all details other than safety items of turn signals, radial tires and seatbelts. It carries the unique gauge cluster, passenger side tire mount, running boards, crank out front windshield and proper pickup setup. This pickup starts up with ease and idles to a purr. Engages into all gears properly and brakes with confidence on the road. Vehicle is a pleasure to drive and admire and will continue to climb in values as the vintage truck market has and always will remain strong. Furthermore a pristine vehicle like this one will never have a difficult time commanding the stronger values as very few of these still exist or are in this kind of quality.
