The MGB GT's innovative hatchback design by Pininfarina gave the MGB a fresh look and filled a void with closed sports car enthusiasts. The GT's design and performance have made them a favorite among English and grand touring car enthusiasts alike and for these reasons, The MGB/GT will always remain popular and an excellent entry level automotive investment. The long line of MG's is impressive with the variations and life cycle over the years. The very cool thing about this car is that in 1970, it was the only year that MG offered the GT with the rear split chrome bumper – couple that with the factory overdrive and you are looking at a very rare MGB GT.

This California vehicle has spent its entire life in the West and represents itself very nicely with proper patina and a solid vehicle that runs and drives better than most garage queens. Finished in the factory correct Flame Red exterior and sporting the proper front bucket vinyl seats and rear bench seat, this is a classic. Vehicle sports the factory 14in steel wheels that have fresh rubber on them and exterior is clean and chrome shows well. Door handles operate properly and the rear cargo hatchback opens with ease. Inside all gauges function properly and with simple turn of the key and pull of the choke the car is fired up and ready to roll. The 4spd manual goes into all gears with ease and the factory OVERDRIVE functions properly and is another rarity to the vehicle. All lights are working as well and the wipers function with a simple touch of the stalk. The engine has been tuned up and a recent respray of the hood all done within the past two years. New carpet kit from Moss Motors was professionally installed at the same time new leaf springs and bushings were fitted.

We always like rare and unique vehicles and something as cool as a period correct MGB GT with overdrive and the ultra rare rear split bumper should be on everyone's radar. The market is strong on the MGB GT cars as very few were brought into the states and even less remain in rust freed condition. Don't sit on the sidelines long for this one as the next one will only be more money.
