1966 Ford Mustang

Perhaps no other vehicle swept the hearts of America in such a massive way than the 1965 / 66 Ford Mustang. It was new, it was innovative, it was sporty and it was smaller than what the American public was use to seeing. It was an instant sensation, its popularity still reigns and its timeless design is still incorporated in today's Mustang.

We are pleased to offer this Shelby inspired, 1966 Mustang Fastback FACTORY A CODE 4BBL. This has been in the caring hands of the same owner for 22 years. He purchased the car from Florida after a long search for a solid car. It was treated to a 5 year Rotisserie Restoration when he purchased the car and he recently refreshed all of the suspension and drivetrain. Always stored indoors and cared for this car still looks and drives excellent. This includes the 347 stroker motor built Professionally built with approx 450+ HP. The engine has completely been balanced and comes complete with: Dart Pro 1 heads, MSD ignition, Pro System carburetor, Pro System roller cam and rockers, Wiesco 4032 Forged pistons.. Also received a new World Class T-5 Transmission, complete new suspension, 1 inch lowering springs, new control arms, tie rods,sway bar, and shocks. The car has a Spec Clutch with cable conversion, 9 inch rear end with 4.11 gears, limited slip diff, and front disc brakes. . The suspension is lowered to Shelby GT350 specs. Other extras include aluminum radiator, electric fan and sub-frame connectors. Unfortunately we do not have receipts for the what has been done to this car. The drivetrain and suspension was all upgraded in the last 2 years.

The exterior was painted white with Shelby Stripes at the time of restoration and still shows very nice. Features include dual exhaust,, and American Racing Torque Thrust wheels. The interior highlights include original style 2 + 2 style seating with buckets in front and fold down rear seat, center console with storage and cup holders, 5 speed shifter, big Mac Tools tachometer, auxiliary gauges and custom sound system. This restoration was done 20 years ago and the car still shows well, has always been stored indoors, driven in summers only, and remains a solid clean driver quality car.

The Ford Mustang has been a target for performance junkies since its inception. Legends such as Carol Shelby, Larry Shinoda, and Steve McQueen built performance versions since the beginning. The car offered here is a quality build and a tribute to total Mustang performance.
