The Golden Eagle was a low production special package that was introduced in 1977 and continued until 1980. The package included was the signature large Golden Eagle on the hood, special fold spoke wheels, large tires, Golden Eagle Lettering, Levi Soft top, Levi Interior décor….The Golden Eagle represented the top of the line for the CJ 7 and the package added a healthy $1248.00 dollars to the price in 1978.

The 1978 Jeep Golden Eagle offered hear has been the recipient of a complete frame off, no expense spared, nut and bolt restoration said to have totaled in excess of 70, 000 dollars. The entire Golden Eagle was disassembled, stripped to bare metal and masterfully refinished in its original Alpine White over Tan Levi interior. The frame, underside and suspension components were also stripped and restored to perfection, the new Golden Eagle graphics masterfully applied and the signature 10 spoke gold wheels were stripped and powder coated, the engine and mechanicals were all address and fully restored / refurbished. Mechanically, this Jeep is on the button. The 304 V8 runs out awesome and very strong, the 3 speed manual transmission shifts flawlessly and Jeeps proven 4 Wheel drive system engages with no issues and is ready to bring you to any undiscovered path. Enough can not be said of the overall quality, presentation and mechanical fitness of this 1978 Jeep CJ7 Golden Eagle.
The Jeep CJ7 has become an American icon as uses and versatility are only trumped by the pure fun that these vehicles offer. Perhaps not other vehicle has offered more top off enjoyment than the CJ7. What a great vehicle for any collector, enthusiast or someone looking for a killer vehicle to keep at a seasonal home. They do not get much better than this.
