1985 Jeep CJ-7 Renegade

Jeep and its strong history of manufacturing rugged and ready off road vehicles will never lose its place in the automotive world. Produced in the 40's and production continues today, one thing staying true is that the Jeep brand has always offered a “Willys/CJ/Wrangler/” all with the same style and function of a fun sporty vehicle for the trails, farm, beach or cruiser.

This stunning CJ7 is in remarkable shape and most importantly it is free of the usual corrosion and decay that so many of these fell prey to over the years. This car has remained in the Southern states its entire life and sold new out of Texas and then staying in Arkansas the past 5yrs where it was treated to some nice reconditioning to bring it to its current state of glory. 6 months ago this CJ received a full custom paint job with fresh decals and hard top painted inside and out. Then the following was added or replaced; fuel tank, carpet kit, struts, windshield, carburetor, battery, tires, valve cover and HEI distributor. The engine remains the same with the strong inline six that starts right up and shifts thru all 5 gears with ease and simplicity. New weather stripping and moldings were also replaced and the interior remains stock minus the new carpet kit. According to the previous owner the engine was rebuilt about 5k miles ago and front and rear end were gone thru and all new fluids and seals replaced.

Vehicle has some great features from stock like the; tow hitch setup, chrome front bumper, front disc brakes, and chrome wheels with new all-terrain tires. Lights, wipers, turn signals, radio, horn and heat all work with ease.

It is a striking vehicle in person and one that demands a closer look for anyone considering a vintage CJ7. These trusty and fun vehicles will continue to rise and the chances of finding one that has not been eaten by the rust monster is next to impossible. Always remember, it is much easier to buy one done then to try to recreate one with a bad start!
