When Dodge decided to install Cummins turbo diesel engines in their light duty truck line, the industry was changed forever. The six cylinder design was much simpler and less costly to service, better yet, the smaller Cummins turbo diesel produced significantly more torque than its competing V8's-400 lb ft. vs. GM's 246 and Ford's 345. The Cummins turbo diesel did everything better: More towing capacity, more hauling capacity, and the turbo diesel performed well at all altitudes making with its competitors loosing as much as 3 percent per 1000 feet gained in altitude. The Cummins name became synonymous with Dodge Ram truck line and set the stage for years to come in light duty diesel technology.

April, 1990. According to the original window sticker, this Dodge was delivered new in Bright White over reed bench seat cloth / vinyl interior. At the heart of this W250 is indeed its 5.9 liter Turbo Diesel inline 6 cylinder engine, automatic transmission and Dodge's proven 4 wheel drive system featuring Ram Trac Power Shift. These trucks cam well equipped standard including: Power steering, power brakes, stainless steel exhaust 2 speed windshield wipers, 8ft double wall cargo box, 22 gallon fuel tank, tinted glass, 5” X 7” mirrors, removable tail gate, etc… This truck also comes highly optioned featuring: AP light package, AP Deluxe Convenience, AP Power Convenience Package, Advantage Pac III, Exterior Décor, Anti-Spin Differential, Power Windows, Tilt Steering wheel, Cruise Control, Sliding Rear Window, Power Dual Remote Mirrors, Air Conditioning, Deluxe Windshield Wipers, Rams Head Hood Ornament, 30 Gallon Frame Mounted Fuel Tank, AM/FM with Cassette, 8510 GVW Package.
