1924 Ford Model T

While many are familiar with the term Depot Hack, the origin of the term is not so well known. During the time, long distance travel was done by train, and the Depot Hack was specifically designed to carry passengers and their luggage from the train station or Depot, to their final destination, typically a hotel. The Depot Hack was not part of Ford's catalogue of body styles; rather, early independent coach-builders would manufacturer bodies and purchase the “T” chassis from Ford. The bodies were then fitted and sold as complete units.

The Chassis and running gear is built with all authentic parts from 1924 including the 176 Cubic inch four cylinder engine that produces 20hp and the 2-speed planetary transmission. Mechanical Features include: Electric start and crank start, fully rebuilt engine, transmission and rear end, Kevlar transmission bands, brand new correct radiator, runs on magneto and battery, new tires and comes with authentic jack with hubcap-plug-lug wrench. The Depot Hack Body was masterfully patterned after the “York” body of York, PA and features pegged and dowelled joints, Poplar floor, pine slat ceiling and newly re-upholstered seating. Mechanically, this 1924 Ford Model T is fully sorted driven approximately 200 miles since completion and is a complete pleasure to drive. Headlights, tail lights and added brake lights all work.
