1955 Mercury Montclair

The Montclair was a full size car that was produced from just 1955 to 1957 and was one of Mercury's premium models. Named after the upper class community of Montclair, New Jersey, these cars featured the best trim, features, and appointments that Mercury could drum up. It offered some of the most desirable features of any car around and was comparable to lower end Cadillacs and Lincolns.

This 1955 Mercury Montclair is finished in a stunning shade of Yukon Yellow and black contrasting top. GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this vehicle which is one of the nicest ones we've seen. The body of the car is excellent with very even and high quality paint and excellent chrome trim. Whitewall tires are mounted on factory wheels. The current owner claims that the car was restored, and the condition of the car seems to back that up. The interior is excellent as well with rip and stain free two tone black and white interior. Everything appears to be functional and the car is equipped with power steering, power brakes, power windows, AM/FM radio, vintage air conditioning, seat belts, twin mirrors and radial tires. During the restoration the car was also converted to 12V electrical systems.

This car is not only gorgeous, but it also runs and drives like a champ. The 292cid V8 engine runs well and the desirable Merc-O-Matic transmission is smooth.
